19:30 “RESTfulX - Flex on Rails “ - a talk by Rafael Beck (19m2.ch)

RESTfulX, as created by Diama Berastau, is a framework that brings the design principles and productivity of Rails to Adobe Flex and AIR development and makes integration with RESTful Web Services as simple as possible. Depending on your project and the services needed, using RESTfulX can save you lots of time.

In his talk, Rafael will present basic examples on how to get started with RESTfulX and will reflect on his experiences with this framework.

20:30 “AS3 Performace Tweaks“ - a talk by Sandro Ducceschi (Liip AG)

Even though performance in AS3 is supposed to be up to 100 times faster than in AS2 it has remained an issue - especially when developing Flex applications that provide quite a bunch of performance devouring concepts.

In his talk, Sandro will tackle every day performance issues with AS3 and reveal best practices on how to get a grip of memory consumption and CPU cycles.

This session will be in German or English depending on the audience.
